Painting for the first time in high school, David Jones was drawn to painting faces from the beginning. While he has painted a variety of subjects, including wildlife, landscape and still life, his efforts are now directed almost exclusively to oil portraits. He enjoys the double challenge of painting children in outdoor light.
David has studied under portrait artist Brian Neher of Charlotte, who himself is a student of the renowned portrait painter, Joe Bowler.

Rickard Cronland is a native of Lincolnton, NC. His interest in art began at an early age. He was drawn to oil painting because of the rich colors, texture and fluidity. While attending East Carolina University he studied art.
In 1990, he began exhibiting art in shows and galleries. Soon after, an artist friend, James Harrill, convinced him to pursue art professionally.
His inspiration comes from his travels and love for the outdoors. Favorite locations for inspiration are the Southwest, New England, France, and North and South Carolina.
Rickard resides in Gastonia, NC with his wife, Sonya, and daughter, Caroline.
